My research concerns developing techniques and algorithms to improve performance and efficiency of wireless communications networks. This includes:

Developing detailed mathematical models and metrics to represent the diverse technical and economical constraints and objectives of wireless networks,
Developing metaheuristic algorithms to select and configure network infrastructure.

Presently this work is concentrated on mobile telephony (UMTS and GSM), Broadband Fixed Wireless Access systems and Wireless Mesh Networks.
