School Enrolment Information for September 2011

Please check the following information carefully to select the correct Enrolment and Welcome Programme. The talks, demonstrations and events have been planned to help you find your way around the School and to understand what we expect of each other. Timetables for the Autumn Semester will be available at these events.

We look forward to welcoming you to the School. If you are retuning for another academic year at Cardiff, we hope you are looking forward to it.

The School Office is usually open from 9:00am- 12:30pm and from 1:30pm-4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours a telephone answering machine is available to take messages.

Undergraduate Degrees

All Year 1/New Students

Please Note: Single Honours Mathematics students who are considering taking one (or more) computing modules should attend a brief meeting on Wednesday 28th September at 11:00am in room N/2.21. This meeting will take place in the School of Computer Science & Informatics, Queens Buildings CF24 3AA (Map Ref 58 on your University Map).

For all new full-time MSc students, please choose the Enrolment and Welcome Programme that corresponds to your degree:

Please note, there is no need to choose your optional modules at enrolment. We will guide you through the choices during the Autumn Semester.

MSc, Part-time Study, Year 1

For all Year 1 new students, please choose the Enrolment and Welcome Programme that corresponds to your degree. It would be beneficial for you to attend induction activities, however we recognise that this may not be possible. Please take the time review the Enrolment and Welcome Programme that corresponds to your degree. You will need to contact the Wendy Ivins, your Personal Tutor, to discuss and agree your enrolment arrangements and choice of optional modules for the first semester.

Please call at the School Office on your first day of classes to complete any necessary School enrolment. Classes start in Friday 30th September, timetables will appear shortly in the Course Documents section that corresponds to your degree:
