We are delighted that a total of 85 undergraduate and 41 postgraduate students have successfully completed their degrees. Computer Science & Informatics graduands and their families and friends attended a reception on Wednesday 20 July, meeting up together and with staff before going to the formal Graduation Ceremony in the city.
Among our undergraduates 50 BSc Computer Science (including Computer Science with specialisation) degrees were awarded and 27 BSc Information Systems degrees were awarded. Another 8 students achieved degrees in courses associated with other Cardiff University Schools. Further congratulations are due to those who will now take up job offers with employers including Gamma Telecom, General Electric, SRK Consulting, OSTC Wales.
Several students have opted to further their education; one joining our PhD programme (in the Informatics research group) or with other top universities.
Postgraduate degrees were awarded, with 13 students achieving the MSc Computing to help them start a career in the IT industry, and 6 achieving the MSc Strategic Information Systems to further their existing IT careers. A further 14 achieved our new MSc Information Security & Privacy degree.
Students involved with the School's research activities also graduated, with 8 colleagues gaining a PhD in Computer Science.
