The School of Computer Science & Informatics has recognised some of its hardest working and outstanding students in a special prize giving ceremony recently.
Some of the biggest names in the industry offered their support by sponsoring prizes, which were awarded to students across all year groups who have excelled in their course.

The School are thrilled to have received support for this event from companies including; Logica, IBM, BT, Trillium Software, O’Reilly, Alacrity Foundation and the BCS, Chartered Institute for IT. Most organisations were able to send a representative along to the prize presentation ceremony which gave students the opportunity to network and enquire about possible employment and placement opportunities in the future.

Head of School Professor Roger Whitaker commented: "As a School we are delighted to hold an annual prize giving presentation in which we recognise and reward some of our hardest working students for their outstanding achievements during the past academic year.

"We are particularly pleased to have the continued support of leading companies in our sector for sponsoring the prizes, which not only makes the award ceremony possible, but also provides our students with great opportunities to build links and look forward to possible opportunities upon graduation."
