Self-similar graphs arising from groups

Abstract
I will present computations of spectra arising from self-similar groups. Some of these graphs converge, when scaled appropriately, to the Julia set of a rational map. Others seem related to the theory of random matrices; I will explain which group-theoretical consequences such results would have. Part of the results I will present are joint work with R. Grigorchuk.
