In urban road planning, pathways for the visually impaired, often referred to as 'blind roads', play a pivotal role. As urban environments continuously evolve, the complexity of their road systems intensifies, presenting increasing challenges for visually impaired individuals. The enhancement of travel safety for this population has subsequently emerged as a prominent issue in contemporary society. Recent advancements in target detection technology have yielded significant breakthroughs in obstacle detection. This paper seeks to integrate computer vision and target detection methodologies, examining both the potential and implications of this convergence in the development of assistive travel tools f or the visually impaired.
